Our lifestyle choices are vitamin killers
Our vitamin b is being reduced in our food supply. The use of antibiotics kills off friendly bacteria in our digestive tract, which helps produce some of our b *vitamins*. Similarly, taking oral contraceptives can interfere with the absorption of folic acid and increase our need for *vitamin* B6, riboflavin and zinc. Meanwhile, lack of exposure to sunlight (for fear of cancer) can result in a deficit of *vitamin d* which is manufactured by the skin in response to ultraviolet light. Because *vitamin* d is needed by the body to absorb calcium, this deficiency can have serious implication for bone health. Even drinking coffee, tea or alcohol interferes with the body’s ability to extract the *vitamins* and minerals it needs from food, while cigarette smoking uses up vast amounts of *vitamin* C that the body needs for immune health
Our lifestyle choices associated with modern living interferes with our ability to absorb the *nutrients* we need for good health.
